I accepted full time offer with one of the big 4 (pwc) however, I am moving back home for good and won’t be able to work with the firm anymore. The firm paid for my Becker review course and it doesn’t say anywhere in the contract that I have to pay them back however, does anyone know if I will have too? I was going to join the firm in July but now I have to leave in 3 weeks and will not be coming back to U.S.

Any chance they can transfer your contract to a PWC office in your homeland?

Even if the contract doesn't specify you have to pay them back, I would at least offer it, since right now they've had to pay for your review course and have not gotten a single moment of work out of you, so they've made an investment and will see no return. Fair thing to do would be to at least offer.

I'm pretty sure you will owe them something if not all.

Usually it's prorated for a year, meaning once you get the material you have to stay at that employer for a year. If you leave in 6 mos you would owe half.

With that said, everywhere is diff 🙂

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.
