Just wanted to wanted to check in with my fellow Ninja’s that are 75% complete with testing to see how enduring this agonizing long wait for scores is going. I am holding up fairly decently I think. Its habit coming to this site everyday, so I am thinking even when I pass I will still visit not sure how often. I’ve been able to burn off some of my anxiety by going back to gym. I forgot how heavy 225lbs was to bench press…I’ve had several late nights without the sinking feeling of wasting half aday because I slept till noon and have family responsiblities and studying. Still haven’t picked up a golf club, but I did make it to the gun range. Can’t believe I lived in TX for almost 20 yrs and purchased my first handgun 2 wks ago. It was kind of fun, but being as competitive as I am I was very upset my target silhouette looked nothing like my buddy’s. But b/c it was Sunday, there was no “judgement” by him regarding my lack of accuracy.

This seems like way longer than a 3 wk wait as I tested on 5/21.

How have the rest of you been holding up?

I laughed out loud at your title! I am waiting for FAR, the first weekend of June my husband thought it was insane that I was doing MCQ's for a test I had already taken! I told him that I need to keep at it until August. I have lightened up a bit. It's been nice to have “extra” time. I am getting back to exercising regularly again. I will be on vacation when scores are released, no point in worrying about what I can't change. Plus I will be in Ireland and enjoying a Guinness either way! Hoping for a 75 and never having to open another CPA prep course!

Barring an occasional visit to A71, I have taken a complete break from anything CPA-related. The books and notes are stored safely somewhere until mid-July at least, after which I will start to review the material lightly.

It's just nice to catch up on golf, tennis and gym.

    Ayyyy lmao.

Tons in common with you bro, I'm waiting on Reg and I think I took it on the 23rd. Also definitely true that 225 is heavy, I get this weird fatigue when I bench where I can hit 225 for 8 reps easily, but by the 3rd or 4th set I'm down to like 165 because I get so tired.

I've been doing way more cardio since I took my last test, trying to get cut for the first time in my life after slowly bulking since 16 (I'm 24 now). I've managed to not worry about score release too much, but it still feels weird having all this free time.

I took REG 4/14 and ignorance is bliss for now. It was my 5th attempt at REG and BEC expired 4/26. Aug 17 is highly anticipated but not at the same time. It has been amazing to go hiking with my husband and dogs, spend time with friends, wine taste, live guilt free haha. I'm plugging away at online classes for the extra units I need but life is pretty good. 8 more weeks….

    BEC - 74, 77
    FAR - 72, 71 (retake 7/29)
    REG - 69
    AUD - Q4 '16

I was laughing to see the title of this thread. AICPA should give us 20 marks as compensation for treating “Guinea pig” .

@Rocklobster I also am trying to do more cardio and push-ways as I have been “Bulking” for the past 20yrs. Joined Planet Fitness down the street from my office so I can start training at lunch. Had a design your own program session with a trainer there and he gave me a Push-Pull-Legs routine. I think I like it, but I definitely lifted way to hard for actually not having lifted in about 18months and being 40yrs old. Lately Ive been gauging my need to work out by how many reps of 315lbs I get on bench. Im down to like 3.5. I see your 24 two things 1) dont get old 2) if you have to get old, then continue to train! On that 3-4 set get a spotter and go 185 work both sets to failure. That weird fatigue is good, it means your muscles are ready to grow but the need a little extra motivation. When I was about your age, I liked to fairly heavy in sets of 8-12 for strength. 135x 15-20; 185x 10-12 205x 10; 225x 10; 285x 10; 315x 8-10 then back to 135 to rep out. I weighed ~250-275lbs. Then I got married and started eating…

@wannafree Parents always make the mistakes with the first borns, so by the 4th kid they think they're perfect parents. So Im not counting on any mercy. Ive been trying to close out this exam since 12/16 and got slapped back with a 60 and 66. It was really crushing because I thought 2016 was my year. Passed AUD on the 3rd try in April; BEC on the 1st try May, FAR on the 6th try in Oct. Thought I had it figured out.

Anyway seems like we're all holding up! Were's little orphan Annie to sing my favorite song? Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow, score release you're only 65 days A WAY….

Stuck in limbo kind of terrible here! I either have no exams or 2 exams in the event I fail FAR, since my Audit score will expire. Anybody in a similar situation? Of course the state board hasn't responded to my credit extension request. Really seems like a waste of time to get started with Audit again, but I guess we should prepare ourselves for the worst case scenario 🙂

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

@mtaylo24 make the peaceful assumption and assumed you achieved your goal. Don't let them steal your joy, they know this wait is complete BS. Do what you do and worry about the rest later.

@Mtaylo , there are very few who could reach till the finish line of this 5K meter race with a speed of sprinter and you are among one of them.Relatively you did better and there is 100% chance that you would pass.
    Just wait for August.
