Has anyone passed all four exams without reading the books?

I was able to get through FAR and BEC without reading or listening to lecture bs

c the multiple choice questions covered the whole topic well. For AUD, I went through the multiple choice questions much easier. In fear, the homework questions did not cover the topic well bc it seemed to easy to be true, I supplement with audio.

Now i’m studying for REG. I already went through lectures and multiple choice questions and keep getting the feeling like it’s not enough bc again it just seems too easy. The problem is i don’t learn much from straight reading.

Just curious if anyone has passed REG without reading the book?

not sure why the format came out so weird. The bold letters were not intentional.

I never cracked a book for any of my exams. I did 95% MCQ 5% lectures/additional reading on specific snippets.

    FAR- 74, 78 (10/15)
    BEC- 73
    REG- 65, 88 (05/16)
    AUD- 7/16

Ironic that your name is “going all in” when you aren't reading the materials lol. Everyone is different. I personally made sure to read parts of business law or ‘wordier' tax rules because there's generally an exception to everything. If it was mostly formula based, I didn't really focus on the book and learned through mcq.

Bird: may I ask which study material you used?

Toni: lol I know right? Allin meaning I will not quit. Even in college I never read any of the text books. As soon as I start reading any text book, my mind wonders off and daydream.

No offense but I don't get why you need to make a thread everyday about how easy you think studying for REG is. If you took the practice exams and scored well and are doing well in your progress tests then you are fine. Doing the questions is the best way to study and if you are doing well on that then that's great. Book is useful when you are having trouble with the questions and need some help understanding the material. Hopefully you score somewhere in the 80s or 90s if it has been that easy for you.

Chris: First off, I don't get why you're so overly critical. If you read my message carefully, you would've concluded I was genuinely asking for input being I've been around this forum long enough to know none of the exams are easy as they seem. And for that reason if it does appear too easy, my interpretation is perhaps the material i am using is not sufficient.

FAR and BEC were hard for me but i am not going to bark at everyone that thought it was easy.

I'm not being overly critical. If anything I'm trying to keep you humble about your studying process and to remind you to stay focused. I've read this post and your other post carefully enough. There are always sections that people will find to be “easier” than the others. But you are the one making threads like “did anyone else find REG to be an easy exam?” And this thread you're asking if you can cut corners because you feel like it's too easy. I just don't really think someone should claim an exam is easy for them if they haven't even taken it yet. Some people say FAR is the easiest and BEC the hardest. It's always subjective.

If you feel that it's easy then that's obviously a good thing. Do more questions and do all the sims. Have you done the practice exams? I think the problem a lot of people have when they feel like something is too easy is that they take the foot off the gas because they feel like they don't have to study as hard anymore. It's a common mistake and something I've experienced as well.

Like I said earlier if you have done tons of M/C questions and simulations and are scoring well then you probably don't really need to go back into the book unless there is a topic you are unsure about.

btw don't start your message with “no offense' and then go ranting off. I can't count how many times someone post on their experience after an exam and ask whether others think they have fail or pass knowing none really has the answer to it but they post to get some sort of support. I could be wrong but this forum is meant to be informative and for the members to support one another.

Just bc i say the topic is easy to study for doesn't mean i am confident i will pass. As we all know, we can walk in 100% confident n flunk. btw i thought AUD was easy to study for too but i still put in 150 hours bc i know i am not smarter than the members who fail 2 or 3 times.

Don't worry about me posting for the sake of being arrogant, i don't have time for that. i post bc i am truly worry i might not be prepare n end up failing.

I come here for support and motivation but its people like you that makes me want to remove myself from this forum. We're all stressed out n the last thing we need is to be barked at for no reason. I have a daughter i haven't had much time for and the only reason I'm a part of this forum is to keep me motivated.

I never read a book. I wouldn't have made it without the videos though.

I know while reading, I would have zoned out way too easily.

For most of it I just did the Roger vidoes, while making my own notes, then hammering Ninja MCQ. My third try of Audit was the only one I went away from that on, I went to Becker (a friend had a pdf of the questions, or I would have never had that opportunity) and some Gleim (it was required for an MBA class and I still had access).

If you are sensitive to the point where you see any form of criticism as too harsh then you probably shouldn't be going off about how something is easy because someone who is equally sensitive can also see that as overconfident and arrogant. That was apparently not your intention, but you were not ever clear about saying that you had gone through a similar experience with another exam which makes you feel this way. I don't even see how I was ranting. I wrote one sentence regarding my thoughts on your opinion of the difficulty and then provided you with advice as to what to do. You still haven't answered me as to whether or not you've taken the final exams yet and are still going off about how I had objections to you calling it easy.

And yes this is a place for people to help each other. I've been very helpful to people who have looked for help here. Ask yourself this. Does someone who makes posts asking if something is too easy really come off as a person that's looking for help? It's similar to that thread with the guy talking about passing without studying. If it's easy then I'm not really sure what you need? If you were having trouble then I would try to help you figure out what you need. If you've felt like something was easy before and then took the exam and failed that means you don't really know the material as well as you think and perhaps look at what you've been doing and change it. If reading the book was something you didn't do before maybe don't completely write it off. As I've said earlier if your multiple choice scores on progress tests are good and simulations make sense to you then you are fine.

As entertaining as this sparring is, I've been active on this forum longer than most people here (almost seven years) and can honestly say I've seen it all. I've seen folks who've sat 30+ times, and have seen folks who passed all four in a single testing window. I've seen people who passed doing nothing but mcq and others who read the book cover to cover 4 times.

Yes I'm sure people have passed all without using the books. If you're one, that's a great accomplishment and something to be proud of. Important to share here so others know anything is possible. Because this is such a popular forum with a diverse base you're likely to get some not so positive responses. It is what it is.

Thanks EZ and Mitch That's all I was asking for. Some sort of reassurance.

    Mia: Well said.

I read the comments on this forum every day and often I see people are so consumed with being right or just so hung up with the know it all attitude that they forget we are all here for the same reasons. I'm probably older than most here and if there's one thing I learn is its better to be kind than to be right. Seriously what's the point of coming on to someones thread just for the sake of attacking them?
