No tricks. Just try to endure. Again. Very glad to not be studying this year!

You can wear slippers at your firm?? That sounds great.

One day at a time. Try to stay healthy and drink lots of water. My snack drawer has nuts, dried fruit, Annie's cereal bars, tea .. . and M&M's 😛 I've been trying to take a 30 min walk once a day and go to my yoga classes. I bring a set of comfy clothes to wear after 5pm. Sneakers, T-shirt & sweats.

@evesocal just when I'm at my desk, I slip on my dress shoes if I walk around.

@bluegirl I might try your comfy clothes after 5 thing! That will make the whole working late a little more bearable!

I'm scheduled for AUD 2/1 and haven't decided if I'm going to study during busy season. With a 4 1/2 year old and an 8 month old I'm thinking the 60-80 hour weeks may be enough.

(Okay, back to Q4 payrolls and W2s!)

    FAR - 79 (11/27/13)
    AUD - 76 (2/1/14)
    REG - 77 (5/30/14)
    BEC - 88 (7/18/14)

    MN Ethics - 100% (3/9/14)

    AND DONE! 8/1/14

Tax season can get really stressfull. So, you need to find a way to manage stess levels, or go borderline postal just before the end. Here are my tips:

    1) Excercise daily! Even 15 minutes will help. Just get your heart rate up! (Body weight squats, incline pushups on your desk, jumping jacks, etc.) I will take a quick 5 minutes to do a small set when I start to feel sleepy, and helps wake me up.

    2) A glass of wine with dinner most nights, and only one glass. It helps me clear my mind so I can go to sleep, which usually ends up being dreams of tax returns. Even at home, I tend to think about my returns for the rest of the night.

    3) The most important of all, you need 7-8 hours of sleep EVERY night. A well rested mind will make less mistakes, be more efficient, and improve your mood.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!
