I’ve seen a few people on this forum say that hanging CPA certificate/diplomas on the wall in your office is a sign of insecurity.

Is this the general line of thinking? I work in a large regional law firm, and every single lawyer has their diplomas/certificates on the wall. I’m the only CPA and feel like I’ve earned the honor of hanging my achievements on the wall.

I’m just trying to honestly understand this line of thinking. The CPA isn’t easy to obtain. To get here, you usually have completed a post graduate degree. I think it only makes sense to display your achievement in your place of work.

What am I missing here?

I'm going to hang mine in my cubicle in industry. No one at my level has their diplomas or degrees hanging, but we all have our work anniversary certificates. This is a way bigger accomplishment than avoiding being fired! The only two CPA's are 2 and 4 levels above me in the org chart. I may do a super basic self-framing now and redo it later if I get an office.
