Just finished today’s NINJA training and feeling extremely discouraged by Gov accounting. I read Becker materials on this topic around 8/20 for the first time, used my whole weekend, and practiced with some 80-100 MCQs, did not do well. So I went back to review GAAP accounting (and find the beauty of it), I started 2nd time review on Gov materials this past weekend and meanwhile drawing myself a big form & note on all the funds, revenues, expenditures and etc just to help myself better understanding and for quick review later on.

I feel Gov accounting is too hard to truly understand & utilize in problem solving, and I read in other threads that it is tested HEAVILY which will probably hold me up tonight I guess. Anyone has any advise on how to manage Gov accounting? some stats of myself on Gov accounting from NINJA:

I would recommend to practice MCQS as you can . yes you will find many questions but mainly they focus on the basics like the modified accrual and government wide financial statements.
