Future of CPA Profession

    This is an offtopic discussion…. Just wondering what people think about what the future of the CPA profession is?

    I can foresee that there will be a serious shortage of CPAs, in the next 15 years, when 75% of CPAs retire (baby boomers).

    I wonder if the exam will be made easier, or whether some requirements will be dropped (like the 150 credit hours). Or maybe any accountant will be able to certify financials? …
