    All,

How far is the furthest you’ve ever driven to take a CPA Test? I was discussing with my medical school friends Friday night (the night before Reg!), and they both took the MCAT a two and a half hour drive from Nashville, in Evansville, IN.

I won’t schedule FAR/BEC until i’m ready, to take pressure off, and feel i’ll have to travel for one of the parts. Thesis statement: How far have you driven to take a part?

    REG (4/2015)
    AUD (5/2015)
    FAR
    BEC

For me, it is 2 hours depending on how long I wait at the border. I live in Toronto and the testing center I go to is in Buffalo

I have a good amount of testing centers in my area but they were all booked on the day I needed to take one of my exams. So I ended up driving out of state for 3 hours to take the exam.

My closest testing centers are 1.5 hours away in good traffic. Longest travel was about 5 hours from when I left home till when I arrived, but that was due to car trouble on the way.

I drove 3 hours out of state and passed BEC. So naturally, I did it again for REG….and passed. Taking FAR closer to home this time (closest center to me is an hour away) due to a scheduling conflict.

Wow ..1.5 – 2 hours?? I would go crazy just thinking of the test on the way to and back from the test with that kind of commute.

I have 3 testing centers within a ~20 mile radius of me. 2 of them are within 7 miles. Go Bay Area?

Wow. @Club300 you are very lucky. I usually have to go up the night before and stay in a hotel the day before my test just to make sure I am able to get there on time.

4 hours. Booked a hotel room for the night before the exam.

My closest test center was 3 hours – but I used the time to listen to CPA audio tapes. I would also write down any last minute topics on a note card and stop at rest stops/gas stations for power studies.

It was always the drive home that was so brutal (because I always assumed I had failed with each test and doubted myself the whole drive home).

    FAR - Feb 27, 2014: 86

Hope you guys dont mind me crashing the party but my closest testing center is in a different country!

I live in KSA and I have to travel to Dubai to take all my exams. So it's a 3 hour flight + another 3-4 hours with the whole checking in and immigration. I usually travel a day before the exam and try to rest a lot, as the flight can be hectic and I definitely don't want to get stressed on the big day.

The trickiest part in the whole process is getting your prometric date, flight availability and leave from work aligned. I can say that I've been blessed with a good boss, so most of the times things do workout.

The testing center was about a 1-2 minute walk. Depends if the light was red when I went to cross the street.

    Passed all sections.
