Good Day, A71 – I have not posted in a while due to work and studying for the cpa. I have yet to pass any section!! Grrrrrr!!!

I am an auditor for a mid-size firm in the Midwest. Are there any NINJAS out there who are IT Auditors or have done the switch? Kindly shed some light on duties, compensation and how to get into IT Audit. AS an auditor, I have a mixed bag of emotions in regard to auditing financials for govt/nfp sector

I have researched the topic on-line, but I personally like to hear it from the grapevine.

I'm curious about this too (I have a friend contemplating the same career change), but I think you might get a better response from a forum geared towards IT professionals rather than CPA candidates. Most of the people who post here are actively working towards a CPA and are more likely to be in audit or private industry.

You may like to add CISA certification as most places they ask for it.I can say based on my own experience that there are more opportunities for IT Auditor ,comp is comparable.This year employers are paying more for IT Auditors compared to 2014.Range varies and it depends upon employer.
