If you don't know the answer to the particular question on the test, just go with your intuition and do not revisit or overthink on that question again.

[CPA Exam] The best advice I can offer to prep for the CPA exam is do as many MCQ as humanly possible, read over the ninja notes various times, write them down if that works for you, and have the mentality that no matter the outcome you will not be defeated! besides being well prepared, You have to believe you can do it, visualize it, speak it into existence! Sacrifice a few months of your life, to reap the benefits later. Like that saying, “Do what other's won't, to accomplish what other's don't” LEading up to exam day, review, review, and review. The day of make sure to have breakfast and coffee or whatever else you need to wake you up and make you focus and be confident you got this!

[CPA Exam] Use every resource you can as a tool to study. Study at least a little bit every day so that you are constantly going over the material and you don't get behind.

[CPA Exam] Take everything you read online with a grain of salt. The advice, opinions, and experience stories online are incredibly helpful as you study and prepare for the test, but don't get too caught up in any one story because the experience is different for everyone. Use the advice as a general reference guide, not as your commandments.

(Public Accounting) Public accounting firm is a good place for gaining experience and learn new stuff. However, in a long term, you will have burnout syndrome in this career and gradually lose your passion. Leave public accounting firm after gaining enough experience before you burnout, unless you are really interested in being a public accountant. (my CPA friend told me)

CPA Exam: When at work take 10 minutes every hour to review a few notes or flashcards to keep your mind engaged with studying.

    [CPA exam]
Drink a lot of coffee but get enough sleep and exercise to stay sane. Take clear and concise notes and make time to study. Make studying your #1 priority, any time something tries to get in your way question if it will make you a CPA or not. Once the exams are over you'll have free time!

    [CPA Exam]

Does it give you chills or goose bumps before you start your exam? If yes, then you know you are giving a CPA exam.

[CPA Exam] Read the entire question carefully and then read all answer choices carefully before selecting an answer. Also, it may help to read the last sentence of questions first.

[Career/Resume/Interview] Apply anywhere and everywhere. I applied to at least 20 different jobs (some not accounting related) before I ended up where I am now (CPA public accounting firm).

[cpa exam] Make sure to review topics you think you know or may have scored well on in practice tests. It's amazing how much you can forget.

[CPA Exam] Be sure to take time away from studying and recharge with your family/friends. Those couple hours are great for recharging and preventing burnout.

[CPA Exam] – Make sure you know why the other choices are wrong in your exam. In the case you cannot figure it out flag it and continue you might get an easier similar question down the line in the testlet and will help you with that first one. Also leave plenty of time for your SIMS so that you can get help from the AL.

[Interview] – there is always a question that catches interviewers attention when I ask it. They always ask you why do you want to work for XYZ Company correct? Well why don't you turn the coin around and ask them” Why made you choose this company as well?. I have gotten plenty of comments and even one of my interviewers said “You woke me up, I don't need coffee anymore”. I have gotten the job btw 🙂
