When taking the exam, take your time and read each question slowly. If rushing, you can easily skipped over a word that can change your whole answer.

[CPA Exam] Don't tell anyone when your scores are coming out because they will ask you about it and if you failed it's super awkward.

    (CPA Exam)

When you are feeling overwhelmed with the information while studying, take a moment (or two) and relax. Just remember why you are doing this and get back to it. Don't give up. This will all be worth it in the end.

[Career] – Always be open to learning new skills on the job to improve yourself and learn from your mistakes! If you have ideas or improvements that can help the company operate more efficiently its sometime good to voice them. Those little things do not go unnoticed.

During MCQ, stick with your original answer more often then not. The more you second guess it, more likely you will get it wrong.

[CPA Exam] Regardless of which CPA Exam section you are taking, you are going to be answering many questions that will not be graded, therefore many questions will have no impact on your score. So don't stress out just because you've hit a few really tough questions.

For BEC, it is relatively easy compared to the other 3 exams, but u need to have good time management. It's very important to allow yourself to have more time for the written communication as it could really determine whether u will pass or fail. Not having enough time to finish writing the essays is even worse than trying ur luck on mcs (at least u got 1/4 chance of guessing it right, sometimes higher).

[Interview] If you have made it to the interview stage, then realize that they want to see if you're a good fit culturally and someone they would want to work 8 hours a day with. Don't stress about your resume at this stage, just be able to quickly discuss the big items on it and provide examples of past experiences/things you learned from them.

    CPA exam study tip:

Get out the house. Go to a coffee shop or the library, somewhere that will force you to study. The comforts of home is a great way to procrastinate.

[CPA Exam] Be a little superstitious. If you are studying and everything is just clicking look down to see what you're wearing. Start thinking of it as your lucky outfit and wear that on exam day. Sure it might be a pair of too small pants that give you a muffin top so large it could feed a village. Or your chances of getting lucky-lucky while wearing it are very slim but it could help you mentally feel that you're going to dominate just like in that study session.

(CPA Exam)-pick a review course based on your own individual learning style. Don't pick a course based on the most expensive or best reviews because it may end up costing you much more than you need to spend and give you a bunch of things you don't need to waste time on during valuable study time.

CPA exam – know your strengths and study accordingly. Visual learner vs reader vs audio, makes a big difference in saving time on ways that arent helping you

[Interview] For phone interviews, always try and smile when you talk. It brings a lightness to your voice. I also try and pace to keep my blood flowing.

[CPA Exam] – Always follow NINJA. Even if you think its to cumbersome to just re-write the notes it really helps cap everything together.
