What would you consider the key to passing this section? For example, for FAR I would say the key is knowing the journal entries in and out…For AUD I would say its knowing the components of internal control in and out…etc

for BEC I don't think there is any one thing.

WIP calculations especially before and after split off when you have products and by-products
IT stuff – which I thought was a bit ridiculous as I'm not an IT person, but whatever, I can learn terms and definitions with the best of them.
    corporate structure
    Variance Analysis
budgeting flowchart – sales budget first, etc.
    analysis graphs/charts
economics section – increase in production in a period of ______ prices results in ______

Neither of my tests seemed to concentrate on any one topic, it was a mix of EVERYTHING, which was slightly terrifying.

hammer MCQ until your eyes bleed

    BEC - 8/8/16
    REG - 66, 77
    AUD - 81
    FAR - 9/8/16

I want to say memorization. IT, COSO, financial management.

    BEC 80 (10/23/15)
    FAR 72 (4/2/15); 83 (7/11/16)

@livealittle‘s answer is better than mine which would be “luck- Luck is what you need to pass BEC”… but other than that… you pretty much need to know a little bit of everything and the most effective method to study in my opinion is to, like livealittle said, do MCQ's until your eyes bleed and you can recite formulas in your sleep.

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

COSO is big in BEC, and of course all the math!

First go at the CPA! Only using Becker
    Reg / Nov 2015 - 87
    Far / Apr 2016 - 79
    Bec / May 2016 - 80
    Aud / Aug 2016

I think that you need to go into the test with the attitude that you're going to do well enough that the writing portion won't even matter. Don't leave your score up to cpu grading software

Just took BEC this afternoon. Felt so confident going in, did all of the becker multiple choice at least 2 times over.

It seemed like it was 80-85% conceptual. I was not ready for that. I feel like I focused waaaay too much on chapter 2 & 3 computational problems.

Time will tell; two weeks cannot come soon enough.

On to REG in the meantime…

    BEC - TBD
    AUD - TBD
    REG - TBD
    FAR - 76 (10/19/2015)

Know Ratios and COSO. IT is impossible to study for in my opinion because all the questions I got were not in my review material or in NINJA. I recommend NINJA notes and MCQ during your final review. My test had both computations and theory questions and it was evenly distributed through out all the chapters. I scored a 76 with only 5 weeks of studying just doing MCQ's and very light reading.
