Listen….that was amazing. It made me stop whinning, second guessing and being so lazy. Not to belabor the point, but I am over 40, gave up college and everything for my four children and husband. I started my business 18 years ago so I could still be available for my husband and children. I have since earned my B.S in Accounting and M.S in Accounting and will not be defeated I am going for the CPA. summary: It's my time now. ….. and it's worth it.

I have been asking myself that same question since I passed all four parts of the exam in early March. I am now in the application process.

I am wondering if passing all four parts of the exam and then getting the license will be enough to open employers/recruiter's eyes. If this accomplishment will outshine the fact that I have been unemployed for over 2 years and I am in my late 40's. I have over 6 years accounting experience working under a CPA, but that was some years ago.

But what am I suggesting here? Ageism and discrimination against the unemployed are about as real as pink unicorns.

I guess I will shortly find out if this accomplishment was well worth it.

this was incredible…left me teary eyed!!! what a remarkable woman!! I wanted to be a gymnist..oh how I would luv to be able to fulfill that dream..sigh..too inflexible and getting older by the year 🙁
