I would say concentrate on the main engagements (compilation, review, audits, engagements). There's that chart that's at the end of A2 that I think is very important. I guess now they're also testing on preparations but to be honest, I would say that comps, reviews and audits are obviously the most important. Also, focus on internal control. I know that A4 is daunting but if you know the gist of A4, I think that's all you need to be successful on the exam. Don't get caught up in it's size and think that the exam will mimic the chapter.

As far as using the code during SIMS is concerned, it's all about the question. I don't want to give any test information away but I was given a sim regarding an area of independence. It's a specific subject within independence but won't give out any details. Basically, the code has guidelines for independence and certain situations and how to address. Hope this helps! Good luck!

    REG - 82
    AUD - 83
    FAR - 84
    BEC - 81

its though to pin point where to focus… Anything goes and all exams are different…they say 12-16% is on preparation compilation review and attestation….. know the reports once you memorize the standard report the others are easy…

I focus on AUD procedures what effects ratio …

texashect thx Im gonna review independence again, I am pretty good at it but recently I learned that the international standard require independence covered the yr of the engagement and the year of the FS GAAS require just the engagement it blew my mind I read the book over and over I did thousands and thousands of MC loads of SIMS and I just saw this detail now…..its amazing

just to add to your point –

leave enough time for SIMS. For some of the SIM questions, it's possible that you find the exact answer from AL.

    FAR (4/14/14) - 97
    REG (11/17/14) - 94
    BEC (11/30/14) - 92
    AUD (2/28/15) - 99

@Ajaz0810 Yes it is. the best way to study Independence is do all of the MC until ur face turns blue that will help you memorize it….for procedures and ratios you cant really memorize u have to understand…. Ratios and procedures can be huge in sims on exam
