Did you use excel functions during the exam? (if yes, what kind of functions?). I’ll appreciate any advice.

Nope.. There was no need for it simply put,
I would have used it if there were a sim about a lifo perpetual system or a question to calculate the WA of stocks outstanding, bonds amor. Etc.
Its a redundant tool, time mgmt is the key not excel.

Do you mean if people use Excel as a tool during the exam? Yes, I used it for all the exams I have take so far. It's nice to do calculations in Excel rather than using calculator. I find calculator a waster of time since you need to retype in the whole thing if 1 number is typed wrong. Simple calculation +-x/ should be enough.

I used Excel on the exam for each section.

For me it was faster because I could expand the calcs quickly. Especially things like bond calcs. For me it is easier to see and troubleshoot the calcs using excel.

I studied with Excel and I used Excel. Only on the sims though or if I had to amortize something.

For the most part, I just used it as a glorified calculator (add, subtract, multiply, divide) but it's also perfect for building an amortization table, setting up consolidated financials, or really any problem that requires multiple calculations.

Thank you guys! I use excel instead of calculator, but only basic functions +,-,*,/. I'm trying to figure out the fastest way how to set up excel for calculations, last time I messed up, because my numbers had different format.

Excel is great. I used it throughout the exam, yes.
Its nice for basic formulas and makes a calculator unnecessary.
But its also nice to jot down notes or partial answers while calculating MCQs or doing Sims. It makes the sheet they give you for writing unnecessary.
