I really dont know what to do, i failed Far twice this time with 56… such a low and embarrassing score.. i really did study a lot, i dont have any social life… and still fail… maybe its just not my path maybe i was destined to do something else.. not to be a CPA :(… miserable feeling.
I can understand the frustration but simply quitting isn't a way to cope. Obviously the CPA career path isn't for everyone but if you've made it this far you clearly have a desire. Use that passion to get you through.
Keep your head up. The first time I took FAR I scored a 47…Finally passed it on my 5th try. It's an arduous process. Honestly, quitting will just make you feel worse. We have all contemplated it, but we all just muddle on through and try our best.
Take a couple days and do something else to regroup and then retake at the beginning of October while the information is still fresh. Maybe consider changing test banks or review courses. Ninja material is the best out there for the money.
We on the same boat, I failedFAR with 50 and I thought I knew the material much better than the first time. I am beyond frustrated and demoralized but I am not quitting. So lets do this!! Moving to AUD, REG, BEC and FAR in the end.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. CPA is one of the hardest exams in the nation that required a lot of time. I just failed Audit with a 56, but quieting is not an option.
Agree with others, quitting will only make you feel worse. I feel like those who pass the first time around are in a very small percent of the population. Take a breather, gather yourself and your strategy, do what you need… But don't give up. You can't get there!
Well ninjas all we can do if we want to be cpa's is shake it off and start all over again. There is another window and light at the end of the tunnel if we'll accept it. I've started with a more thorough study plan and hopefully pass is the end result. So let's go….cry, get it over with, and start studying.

What study material do you use? Are you taking full advantage of the lectures and notes? Are you taking notes on the MCQ you get wrong? Never give up, you can totally do this! I agree with everyone above, quitting is not an option and in 5 years when you are a big CPA, you will look back at this time and be grateful you worked your butt off!
I personally wouldn't wait to take FAR. It is so fresh in your memory and it would be so much harder to remember it all 4-6 months down the road. Sign up for FAR 10/1 and you have 5.5 weeks to study your butt off and kick this test's butt. I have complete faith in you! (Not saying much from a stranger, but nevertheless you will do great!)
Don't quit. My first time taking FAR I made a 58. I was depressed. I had to learn how to study FAR. On my 4th attempt I made a 75. For me it was watching the videos again, rewriting my notes several times, and practicing simulations. The time I passed it, I went from a 70 to a 75 and my life consisted of FAR. When you feel you're studying a lot, study more.
I failed FAR again so I know exactly how you feel! Don't give up! Giving up is not an option in my book and shouldn't be in yours! At first I got a 71, second try I got a 67. I am using Becker and not sure what else to consider. It's depressing but I'll have to keep pushing and try to retake it 10/1!
Bringing this thread back up just cuz my score is super close to a 56 LOL. @broag, not sure if you still read this forum, but what did you do to pass on your 5th try? Im going on my 4th try and I really dont wanna go into busy season with FAR and BEC to take. I need major help.
Failed FAR in Q3 2017 with a 58!! My first ever CPA exam i was overly nervous with test anxiety. I know second time around I'll have kicked the anxiety out of the way, but I know my studying wasn't up to par.
Any tips anyone wants to share? Should I retake FAR asap? (I'm already about a quarter through studying for AUD but I can postpone exam to December)
@Counting, Yes I would say go back to FAR even u are midway through AUD. If I could redo this whole process I would crank out FAR first. My biggest mistake was moving on to another section when I failed FAR first time. Im prob a good example you dont wanna follow footsteps in, because of 1 section another is set to expire. Pass FAR first and everything else would be much easier after. Good luck!
