I am considering obtaining my own email service for work related things. An email I can take with me if or when I leave.
I know some companies offering email forwarding type services for business use.

The AICPA offers a service that would be YourName@CPA.com but you need to be an AICPA member at $465/year, plus $30 a year for email forwarding service, or $100 a year for full eail service including 30GB storage.

Perhaps having my own website with email address/ email forwarding might be a more affordable option?
    Something better than YourNameCPA@gmail.com?
    Advice? Opinions? Options?

    Hi @Recked,
I don't think you'll be happy with a forwarding only service from anybody. To me, it looks unprofessional and cut-rate if I email XYZ@CPA.com and get a reply from XYZ@gmail.com. I also don't think there is anything special about having an email address @CPA.com. It looks super generic and I can already picture people trying to look you up by going to CPA.com lol.
    – I think you'll be happier getting a domain and doing email hosting. Domains are pretty cheap- I want to say about $15 a year when I used to own a couple (I've since let them expire). For email hosting, I would probably recommend Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium. It's $12.50/mo prepaid for a year or $15 a month by the month. This includes custom domain hosting for your email, plus all the Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc). You just need one license for 5 PCs, 5 tablets, and 5 phones too. There's something to be said with going to a major email host as you know it will play nice with your PC, phone, Mac, etc.
Just my .02, maybe someone else will chime in with an opinion.

I agree with Chandler, with Office 365 you could have recked@recked.com. You'll also have office and a 1 terabyte onedrive.
