My undergrad program didn’t get me to the 150 hours. Instead, 142. What do I do in that case? Do you just apply for a grad program and then drop out when you hit your hours? Or would it be worth my while to get a grad degree? Any advice would be appreciated.

I enrolled in grad school for MBA and quit when I got my 150 hours. If it's for an MBA I would say no it's not worth it to get. Especially when you only need 3 classes to get 150 hours.

If you wanted to get a masters in taxation or something similar, then yes it can be very beneficial and CPA firms do like it and will more likely to choose you over someone who does not have any masters degree.

And to what Beavis said, I can't remember since it's been a while, but I looked into enrolling in a community college and getting some sort of associates to get all my hours after I got my Bachelor's degree and I THINK Texas had a rule against that. Like I said it's been a while so I can't remember, but I'd research that first if you decide to do that.

    State of CA:

If you took Quickbooks course (got 3 semester units), would a Turbo Tax course give you another units credit?

Accounting Work Experience counted as accounting credit OR internship credit under the new 150 pathway?

    Thank you.
