I’ve been studying present and future value. The problems keep listing situations where you deposit money in an 8-12% interest yielding account, or you deposit X sum into a fund and it will grow to pay for your college. Do such accounts exist in the real world or am I being naive? I have money saved up and whenever I read these problems, I tend to think there must be a better way save money other than a bank savings account that yields only .0001%!
