I had a work injury in 2004 that I settled with my job and was discharged “permanent and stationary”, basically meaning that there was nothing more they could do to help me and I got a cash payout.
I still have some discomfort, but the injury was a repetitive stress injury from building 500+ cars per shift at an auto plant.
I am being asked to submit a form about disabilities. It states whether you have or had any disabilities. I think I should say yes since it is likely that it will show up on a background check, but will this eliminate my chances of getting an interview? It doesn’t distinguish between past and present disability.
Any insight?
