    Hey all,
this isn’t really about the exam but just a question about life in generally. I dont really do anything else aside from work and study now while all my other co-workers and siblings are having fun on the weekends… going out but I dont do anything. Even after taking these exams I give myself a few days off I just sit around the house. Whenever I text a few people they always seem to be busy or time conflicts.

I guess Im just socially awkward?? But I dont feel it. I just dont know what to think.. is there something you guys do specifically with friends? All my college friends that I’m close with have left the state because of jobs.

Sorry if this post was annoying but I just wanted to vent a little.

Don't be depressed…..Your friends and family had to adjust while you pursued the CPA, now that you ave passed (you luck thing), they will have to readjust to your new found freedom. Give it some time…go ahead and make some money, they'll be back. If not it's time to find some new friends.Plan a bbq for memorial day, the family will be back., if not it's always the 4th of July or find some new CPA's to toast with….come on this is a time to celebrate…YOU PASSED!!!
    ok…one more to go.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

Hi,Spartans92. The CPA designation is an arduous journey for many of us. It's natural to feel down or completely rotten at times as we bump along the road. You are not alone and I empathize with you. You are nearing the end of a major undertaking and it's starting to take its toll. You're going to pass FAR. Once you do, a tremendous weight will be lifted. Until then, STUDY.

After you pass, you can spend some time thinking about what you enjoy as a human being. As you make your discoveries, you may find that your current group of associates (work colleagues/old college friends/family, etc) aren't aligned with what makes your heart sing. Spend some down time with yourself after you've passed FAR and identify what resonates with YOU. Once you know what that is, make moves to involve yourself. And no, you don't have to be an extroverted, social savvy show stopper to do so. You'll be a CPA – and that has its own level swagger.

It will soon be over. Hang in there.

For reference: I don't get to see my friends or family members. I study instead. Becoming a licensed CPA is my priority right now.

Rooting for a May 2017 success on FAR for you!

    FAR: 80 (10/28/2016)
    AUD: 85 (2/6/2017)
REG: DSIT (Dragon Slayer in Training) (5/2017)
BEC: DSIW (Dragon Slayer in Waiting) (7/2017)

There are many times in life where we seem to drift in and out of social circles. When one or two friends are married and we're single, when friends start having babies and others aren't restricted by babysitters, etc. This is one of those times for you but take heart it doesn't last forever and you become part of the gang again.

I don't have friends anymore. CPA is my friend now lol If you are around NYC, I would totally be down to chill.

As Peter Olinto once said “I'm your only friend and family from here until you passed the exam”

Ive been really depressed and exhasted recently as well. This Exam is Grueling and downright depressing at times. Being exhausted makes this process even worse, but I try to remind myself that it will pay off in the long-run. But, I feel your pain and it is not fun being depressed and sitting at homes bc I are tired.

Stay Strong and know that there are plenty of candidates feeling just like you. The CPA is a designation in its own league!

Thank you everyone!! @Floreat, that really hit home. It was very inspirational to me. Really appreciate it; I pretty much needed some of these comments to get me back on track and I guess having to work 12 hours a day along with depressing weather makes it worse.
@Moose, oh I wish I was in NYC too it would be so much fun haha. Though a little crowded for me. Best of luck.
I must say unfortunately I departed with Olinto last night as my Becker expired haha. Just Ninja MCQ and the book now. 🙁
