Denied CPA?

These instances occurred almost 19 years ago when I was 18 years old. Unfortunately I made bad choices and wound up with 2 misdemeanor charges class C. One for arguing with my boyfriend in my apartment and neoghbots called the cops. There was no violence or injuries but in Texas they can charge you if they think there was a threat of violence with family violence, Class C Misdemeanor. We both refused to press charges so the cops arrested us both, with the state pressing charges. Being dumb and scared my parents would find out I plead no contest and just paid a small fine just to get out jail that same day. Looking back I know I could’ve fought this and gotten it dropped. The other charge in the same year, was with a friend at a gas station and he pumped gas and did not pay so we got charged with petty theft. This was just a ticket I received. I am now worried that when I apply in Texas with my application of intent this will show up and I will be denied. This was a long time ago and I have never been in any trouble since. Does anyone have any experience with this? Also this has never come back on any of my background checks and I have been working in the accounting business for 10 plus years. But I have never been fingerprinted.

Check in with the state board and see what their thoughts are. I’m sure each is different. I had an underage drinking ticket a long time ago that is still on my record and all I had to do was include an explanation of the conviction in my application, which was approved. If they tell you it’s a big deal (which I doubt), you could always get a lawyer and have them expunged from your record.
