Creative Solutions Accounting – Engagement

    Hey guys,

    I know this forum is for people working on their CPA… but I am not sure where else I can ask this question 🙂 I am working on a project in Creative Solutions Accounting – engagement and I am supposed to receive a file to start working on a client’s work papers. When I try to receive them, I go into the file, where I save them, but CSA does not “see” them… I can’t receive them… Does any of you know how I can fix it? Or what may be an issue? I have never worked in this program and I don’t really know where to start…

    Niki, Have you tried LinkedIn? There are all kind of support forums on there for every kind of software program you can think of. I'm part of several software groups that people get support for these types of questions all the time.

    You have to save the files onto your computer, such as the C:// and then CS should recognize them and you should be able to upload them. I think this is what you are talking about, let me know if you have any other questions. I have been working with this program for over a year.

    hgmosteller31, thanks for offering your help! I do need it O_O I am not sure if studying for FAR takes away my brain capabilities or the CSA is not as user-friendly as I thought it would be…

    I was able to figure out how to send and receive files, but now I have other problems with it. I working with two different logins on CSA on a one computer and I am sending and receiving files between those two logins.

    Let's say user A creates a master file and sends it to user B. The user B receives it, makes changes and sends it back. When I want to receive it as the user A, I get an error message that “The selected client X already exists in this location as a master client. Only transfer files sent to the MCD CANNOT be received”

    I hope it makes sense what I am saying…
