Apologies if this has been covered, but do you/would you, use your title as part of your name on Linkedin? I do – to highlight licensure, but I also think it looks pretentious.

Why wouldn't you? You are a CPA, put it in your profile. It is not pretentious to use it on Linkedin, it might be pretentious to use it on Facebook.

I'll probably keep it. I have to use Linkedin a lot right now as part of my job, and I actually have to think about appearances, and how I come off! It does have its perks.

If you sign your kid's report card with “CPA”, then yes, that's pretentious 🙂
