CPA salary in the Gulf countries

    So this question is for people who are working as a CPA in the Middle East. How much does a qualified CPA make here? Also, I have 2 year working experience with a Big 4 audit firm. Can anybody give me a number? Preferably in AED.

    I would expect a higher salary than those who are nationals. Our expats in the UAE receive their full salary comparable to the US, but also we pay all their housing costs, healthcare and children's private schooling. I work in the oil and gas industry, so it is commonplace for those things among our industry. I am not sure about a Big 4 firm. Do you know any expats in the area you can rely on for information on what is standard?

    According to that chart, you should be expecting 94k in USD as an accountant, so approximately the lower 300,000 AED. This does not state a CPA, so it may be more if you have your license.

    Its mostly contingent on the passport you hold. US, UK and Canadian accountants/CPA's get paid more than any other foreign national in the region, specially in Saudi Arabia. So, you should get a handful of offers without leaving the U.S if you are a citizen of the above countries.
