This is just a rant. But I just paid for HOPEFULLY my LAST 3 exams.

This isn’t meant to come off as cocky, but I am so determined to pass these exams by this year. My main motivations are the 2017 exam changes and the exam PRICES. I feel so silly that I didn’t study hard enough for FAR and REG the first time but life happened majorly (laid off, car crash, job searching, other family issues).

I do have a stable job but it DOES not pay that much that I can afford to keep retaking these exams. So I am DETERMINED to pass these suckers.

Thankfully, it’s a little true what people say, restudying for FAR a second time isn’t that bad. The concepts are becoming a littler clearer, I just need clearly to do more questions. If anyone can impart some wisdom too, that would be nice.

The exam prices were my biggest motivation to pass, too. I couldn't bear the thought of having to pay for the exams repeatedly. 😐

My experience with FAR has been it is the luck of the draw.

My first take was moderately hard but I had not put in enough time with NINJA MCQ.

Take 2 I felt good leaving the test center. The majority of the test was on major concepts and there was nothing in the exam not covered in the review.

Take 3 was brutal. I did well on the first set of 30 MCQs then the got harder. They asked about very small details/rules on how to do something. The SIMS were equally as bad. One SIM I doubt I could have gotten right even with the exam being open book and it would have taken me 30-45 minutes on that one SIM using the book and Google.

I hear you about the money adding up. With what I spent on retakes and buying additional study material I could have bought a recliner I have always wanted.

    BEC 11/29/14 77 (Roger)
    AUD 2/23/15 60 (Roger) 4/13/2015 83 (Roger & Ninja MCQ)
    REG 5/30/2015 66 (Roger & Ninja MCQ(7 hours only)) 8/23/2015 78 (Roger & Ninja MCQ)
    FAR 11/23/2015 60 (Roger & NINJA MCQ) 2/24/2016 74 (Roger & NINJA MCQ) 5/25/2016 83 (Roger+Roger CRAM & NINJA MCQ/NOTES)

@Texan_176, sounds like you passed! The harder the sim, the more points you get on that sim! So you got this!!
