I got my final passing score for the exam in August. I needed only 5 more credits to meet the 150 and decided to indulge my creative side and take a creative writing class. I thought writing a poem about what the exam experience felt like would both give me closure and remind me of how strong I am for getting through that hell. It’s really bad, just for fun and quite ridiculous, but I thought someone might enjoy. 🙂 Here is my acrostic dedicated to the worst experience of my adult life:
Cry every night for 11 months (if you’re good) because
Piece by piece your soul and social life slip away and you know you’ll gain 20 pounds because you
Ate an entire bag of Cheetos getting through accounting for leases and the
Exceptions for IFRS make you want to kill yourself because remembering the rule itself was hard enough.
X – Shit, another wrong answer. What idiot gets 71% after 6 hours of studying? Well, in my defense it was
After working for nine and wanting to die for months, but it’s worth it because you’ll make so much more
Money that you can’t enjoy because you’ve now lost your personality and will to live.
Have you expressed your disdain or depression regarding the CPA exam in some sort of artistic form?
