CPA Exam Anyone?
Just curious… I know I’ve seen some others say they did accounting. I am studying like crazy right now for the longest (hardest) section, FAR. It sucks. It’s 4 accounting classes crammed into one. I’m going crazy.

For those that might have taken it... how was it?

And for those who are doing accounting and wanna get the CPA. Good luck. It definitely takes effort. And I don’t even wanna think about how I have another 3 sections to go after this one.

This is an interesting post for a CPA prep forum:) LOL Took FAR twice, sucked both times, especially the studying part. Luckily I passed it the second time around. This process is not for the faint of heart but can totally be done!

FAR is a beast and takes lots of time, note taking, and practice. But if you are prepared the exam is fair and doable. I found a lot of it to be easier than my practice exams.

FAR is the worst in terms of volume of material you have to know. If you have a bad memory, forget it…well, you have to find a new way to memorize things.
The others are not as bad in terms of number of topics. “How was it?” The MCQ weren't bad. The SIMs were abominable. 5 of the 7 were just plain *weird* questions.
I took it in the last window before they changed the exam format and added another SIM (now it's 8.) I'll be re-taking FAR later this year. I think I can pass it this
time…..so many things in life are better the second time around.
