Hello, I’m new here. I am getting my enrolled agent license by April, CPA by early next year and masters this year in accounting. I’ve been given a great opportunity to work at firm doing tax preparations during this tax season. However I don’t just want to do taxes and be done, I want to do more, like offering payroll services to companies, sole props, and/or bookkeeping. However, my biggest dilemma is what software do accountants, CPAs, and or bookkeepers use? For tax I will be using Proseries. I ask because I want to start laying the foundation on getting familiar with a software I can use once I hopefully open my own practice. I have the opportunity to acquire the clients from this employer I will be working for, for a pretty decent price, so by the time I get mY CPA I will already have client list of over 900 individuals (20% businesses). What software do CPAs, accountant’s use? Please help. Thank you all.
