Hi Guys,

Have any of you received the Congratulatory letter from NASBA? I recently passed the IQEX (REG) exam of the CPA and was wondering if NASBA has started sending the letters out yet. I need the letter to be able to apply for the NY state license.

I’m not even sure if the congratulatory letter comes from the state board or directly from NASBA. Haven’t had much luck speaking with NASBA directly on this.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

I believe it comes from State and usually takes about 6-8 weeks according to NINJA's JEFF youtube Video. However if you call your state board, they might send you earlier so you can start your licensing process ASAP. I am also waiting for Congratulatory letter but right now my priority is to get job as i am unemployed/working for shi*** job.

I think for the NYS license, you don't need the congratulatory letter. All you have to do is fill out the licensure applications and send in a check.

@Avers, may I know if you received the Congratulatory letter from NASBA finally? I am not sure what I will get except for the score form downloaded from the Candidate portal.

@Akazenishi- I never received the letter but what I did was that I got my scores sent to NY state and received a copy of my scores by NASBA. I did that through NASBA store. In addition to that I ordered the IQEX wall certificate via the nasba store and received the certificate in a weeks time. Just wanted to have everything validated and for my own records. Hope this helps!
