Has anyone received this yet? I saw on the website Q1 should receive it by April 15.. I passed my last exam early March. Is there a form or something I should’ve submitted?

SC moves at a snail's pace. I received my last passing score on March 7th and submitted my application on March 8th, and I'm still not certified.

The SC Board has to have a formal meeting to approve all scores. This meeting takes place once per quarter. They are scheduled to meet next week, so hopefully I'm a CPA by end of next week.

Just seems crazy how slow SC moves compared to NY especially. In other news, I still have not received my congratulatory letter down here…

Just a heads up on the above comment.
The NYS CPA board is currently running something like 16 weeks on application reviews.
I had to do the review pre-test due to the pathway I took to get to take the exam and I waited from the first week of April 2017 until August 28th 2017 to be approved.
I was licensed 6 days after my last score release on March 9th, because I have already done the leg work up front.

My case is not the norm at all.

Also, NOTHING happens fast in SC, ever. It's one of the reason I am looking to buy a place down there for retirement.

@Recked good on you for considering a move to the Palmetto State for retirement. My state is awesome.

Unfortunately for SCBOA, you can't begin moving on the process UNTIL you receive that final passing score. The federal background check and all has to be done within 60 days of passing the exam I believe. Transcripts also have to be sent within a certain number of days of passing the exam…

I was down in Surfside Beach 2x last year, and I'll be down in Little River in May.
Doing the whole renting from friends & family thing for now. Surfside was a condo, Little River is a house in a gated community.

Are you near the beach anywhere?

I'm in Columbia, but my in-laws have a place in Edisto Island. It's a small island 40 minutes south of Charleston. I grew up going to Myrtle and Surfside though.

Check out Litchfield, which is just south of Pawley's Island. Also, Fripp Island outside of Beaufort is awesome. I'm more into the non-commercialized beaches having grown up here.

We were driving south from Surfside to Litchfield Beach, Brookgreen Gardens and the Huntington Beach State Park.
Commercialized is not my cup of tea as well.
