Got my Q3 letter from MA this Saturday. Much faster than I had expected since they said they would be mailed by the 15. Dropping my application in the mail today!

Congratulations! I'm jealous. I've already sent in my application, but getting that letter would feel like a little progression.

In MA you can't send in the application without it because it contains your grade report too. Just glad they sent it now as I'll be on the road for the next two weeks.

Mailed my application the day of Q3 score release. Just waiting on my character references to get their stuff back to the board. Two have already mailed them back. The third will mail it back tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll receive my license number by the end of the week.

Edit: I haven't received a congratulatory letter yet.

MA must be more strict, the application says you are not allowed to mail things in pieces. You have to have everything (character ref etc, work experience, etc) and the congratulatory letter all in the packet at the same time.

How much are other states?? MA is $175 for the final application (first time, non-licensed in any other state).

I am in Louisiana and have not yet received Congratulatory Letter.

I mailed in my application (with fee and work experience verification) a day or two after score release and have not heard anything regarding my application, either.

The next Board Meeting for the Louisiana State Board of Accountancy is not until November 9, so I imagine there will not be much news on the licensing front until after that Board Meeting.

@tskits75-do you have public accounting experience? When I started, they had non-reporting license. Now its' all reporting but from what was confirmed to me by the mscpa person, the attestation requirement is gone. I have plenty of non-public experience under a CPA and by boss said they will gladly sign experience letter, but just wanted to see what your licensing experience is like. I am still not done with the exam part, but have the hours (150). Thanks!
