So I found out about my gut-wrenching 74 FAR score on June 8th and it’s now the 20th and I still have to get back on the horse. I’ve submitted a new application to CBA and need to take the test by the end of July since my BEC score will expire. I tried to study last week but as soon as I saw the MCQ, I just felt so tired of going through the process of working the question. I still remembered what I needed to do but I just couldn’t get into it – though I’m sure if I keep this going, I’m gonna start forgetting stuff. My husband has been great and hasn’t said anything about it but I know he’s wondering when I plan to get into full study mode again.

Hoping to get back on tonight and keep going – wish me luck!!!

The hubby likes to send me this video before a test to help pump me up. It's cute, thought I'd share it with you guys – it's from a Christmas special called Prep and Landing> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPDE9rDwVYg

Well I can say I have certainly been there! My first fail was a 74 in audit and I was crushed. It was so hard to get back on track…

However, I can promise you that you will regret every bit of time you waste when you go into the retake unprepared and walk out with another fail and then have two exams to go. Just think about trying to find motivation at that point to study FAR yet again and now BEC. Meanwhile the clock is just ticking away before you lose Audit in October – UGH! A harsh reality you would rather avoid I am sure.

I know you said your husband has been great, but I honestly had to ask my husband to be a little more nagging with me. He reminded me often that I should be studying (per my request). We came up with an agreement where I would study according to a schedule with built in free time. If I studied when I planned to, I was able to enjoy the free time without any guilt or nagging! If I went off track – he nicely reminded me of our agreement and what was at stake.

Good luck! You have 5 weeks to make it count! It will be so worth it – small sacrifice for huge gain. I cannot express how AMAZING it feels to get that last passing score!!

    BEC: 79 - April 2011
    FAR: 78 - May 2011
    AUD: 81 - May 2012
    REG: 79 - October 2012
    Ethics: Passed - March 2013
    I am finally DONE!

That's a great idea! I'll mention it to the hubby and I'm sure he'll be willing to work out a plan similar to that. He's stated in the past that he doesn't want to be my study Nazi but this will allow him a little bit of input and I'm not allowed to get mad at his nagging. LOL Thanks a lot!
