I’m going to switch focus to CFA level 2 now. For level 1, I just read the Schweser materials and it worked out really well. I’ve heard level 2 is a completely different beast. Has anyone on here used another source? I used CPAexcel for REG and I did well, so thinking about that…

    Any other recommendations? Thanks!

I have no personal/direct experience with the CFA, and just assume it to be incredibly difficult and comprehensive. However, a son of a client of ours passed his Level 1 through self-studying/online course(s), but failed Level 2 trying that method, and I believe he's going the route of taking weekend live classes. Keep in mind, his work involves international trading so his hours during the week are crazy and probably prevent him from keeping a strict schedule, though I've heard from him that Level 2, as you said, is a whole other monster, good luck!

I just read the Schweser notes and found it to be somewhat easy. Especially with accounting having been the biggest section, it was a lot easier for a CPA. I'm either going to have to go hardcore with the self studying, or might use Wiley for it. I used Wiley CPAexcel and did well on the CPA REG. It covered everything I needed to know, but I found the courses to be a little bit boring.

If anyone can recommend any good online courses that are interesting (something like Roger, which I learnt about two days before the exam) that would be awesome.

    Thanks!
