There is a one guy who answers the phone call when calling to CBA examination unit, he is surprisingly unkind.
If he is not happy with his job and doesn’t want to work, he should quit and start to look for another job 🙂 And STOP getting mad at callers.*WOW*
I just asked how long would like take for the application to be reached the unit from the mail room, because mine seems to take longer than others. And he was annoyed and said “I am not willing to help with this topic”
He kept saying blah blah blah and mumbled whatever I cannot even understand so, I asked if there are any other person I can talk to and he denied to connect me with another worker there. and he finally hung up without saying anything.
I am not sure if he is the only person working there for answering phone call and if they can see the caller id, but he will keep refuse the answer the phone call if I call with my phone. If i use my friends, he would pick it up. Am I blacklisted or what?

I've found them to be pretty good by email.

    Eh typical state/government employee.
    Overworked and underpaid.

You just need to let it run its course.

Hi, I recently called CBA as well.

I took an exam on Tuesday, February 27th, and was expecting to see a status change on my CBA account, reflecting my exam attendance has been received. When it didn't update, I called to ask about it, since I was concerned about getting my exam results on time.

I thought the receptionist was unpleasant as well. To give them the benefit of the doubt, they may be having a rough day. Of course, this benefit is offset by the fact that this wasn't the first unpleasant experience I had with CBA hahaha. Still, NASBA is currently upgrading their gateway experience, and my understanding is this maintenance has an adverse timing impact on many things CPA.

Case in point, I was told that NASBA's recent gateway upgrade (which I read should finish by March 4) is affecting more than just payments and NTSs, so I guess it's possible that the AICPA did receive my exam data, but wasn't able to update CBA.

To provide some insight on your situation, perhaps this NASBA upgrade is also what is affecting your application process. Hope it goes well soon.

I say cut him some slack. Think if you were asked the same exact question 100 times a day every single day you came to work. Not making excuses for the crappy attitude but everyone handles stress differently. However, I’m the kind of person who’s actually nice to phone operators no matter how annoying I think they are because I understand they’re just doing their jobs.

Email is the way to go.

Rather than put all my complaints here I’ll give you what I think you should do:

    1. Email only. They respond quick and you have proof of comments from them.

    2. Email is very impersonal and mostly cut and paste from a rulebook. Expect no answer that isn’t clearly defined somewhere.

    3. They don’t always have an answer so just accept it. I wasn’t sure if restaurant ownership course would count towards business and they couldn’t answer. They said submit transcripts and we will let you know.

It’s not a total shit-show but it’s frustrating beyond belief.

There's always been a delay in updates from Prometric afaik. But calling them up literally two days after your test is a little overboard imo.
