Hi everyone,
I’m 27, passed the CPA exam, and will get the license around the end of this year I hope. I had a job at a local cpa firm and been with them for almost 2 years. Right now I’m studying for the CMA exam and thinking of my career path in the future. I feel I don’t like the office work (traditional accounting) and do the same tasks for a year cycle over and over (bookkeeping, taxes, and so on). I do research for an accounting career path and I see forensic accounting is an interesting field.
I just wanna ask if any of you are working as a forensic accountant or have experience with this kind of work, what would be your advice as skills, education such as certificate or degree, and so on that can give me the advice to put my foot into this field? Also, if there are other career paths interesting out there that I do not know of, can you tell me about that?
When I have the license and my current experience are good enough to change job or stick with it couple years before switching?
