Hi, I’m currently studying full time but I will look for a job early next year.
I currently have a 2010 Mercedes ML with 80k miles. I was lucky to be able to drive this car for three years thanks to my parents but it’s starting to get all sorts of malfunctions and I don’t really like driving SUV at my current stage of life (no family and in mid 20s).
My concern with buying a new car relates to the profession I’m trying to get into… So the questions are:
1. Do Big4 or medium sized companies see what car you drive? (is having premium car give bad look to interviewer/or to other employees when hired?)
2. If I decide to go for Taxation or Auditing position, is it better to get a big car for accommodating client/guest?
3. For the above positions, is it smarter to get a hybrid?
I am currently thinking of the upcoming C class coupe or C 350e plug-in hybrid sedan. But I can take any recommendation which better suits this profession.
