My test went medium-hard-medium for sure. Anyone out there have the same experience and still manage to pass?

I'm sure others will tell you this, but unfortunately there's not much point in trying to determine how the difficulty of your testlets is going to impact your score. Mathematically speaking, it is definitely possible to pass in this exact scenario. Best of luck to you!

Theoretically it is possible to get three medium testlets and still pass. Don't give up hope!

    FAR 77 12/9/14
    AUD 89 2/24/15
    BEC 81 3/10/15
    REG 71 5/27/15 83 8/25/15 (it's done!!!)

In my opinion my testlets went Medium-Hard-Easy.

When I got to my third testlet I was positive I bombed my second one. The questions seemed to be incredibly easy. I thought I must have failed. I ended up getting a 92. Goes to show we can't try to guess how we did based on our perception of testlet difficulty.

my testlet went medium medium and medium as I didn't notice any change in difficulty….

    REG - 80 (02/13/2015) Roger + Ninja Flash Card + Ninja MCQ + Becker's Note
FAR - 84 (05/29/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Some Wiley book questions
BEC - 77 (08/27/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions
AUD - 87 (08/28/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions

What's hard for you is easy for another. So I don't get the whole easy-medium-hard thing.

I only ask because my third testlet seemed by far the easiest. No computations, and very short questions.

When I took FAR, my first testlet was ridiculously easy. The second was so hard I wanted to cry. I couldn't tell you the level of the third testlet. I know it was way easier than the second, but not sure if it was quite as easy as the first. My brain was fried by then. If I had to guess, mine went Medium, Hard, Medium and I still passed!

I just took FAR and my 3rd testlet was very easy compared to 1st and 2nd.

    medium-medium/hard-easy

I was sad but kept on going.

    Just hoping for the best.

I wouldn't try to guess the difficulty level. When I took audit, all my MC questions were EXTREMELY easy. I thought I must've failed if I got 3 easy testlets. Turns out I got a 99. I think the difficulty level is all perception- the CPA examiner may consider a question difficult that you thought was easy because you understood the subject matter, or they might have put a question they consider easy but you thought was hard because it isn't your strong point.

    AUD- 99
    FAR- 93
    BEC- 90
    REG- 94

    I sure hope so!…I feel like I got a medium-hard-medium today.

yeah, I got medium, hard, easy (today as well)

and by easy I mean some questions were five words max

    and not hard at all

but you pass with very high scores, so you know your stuff very well

so the hard to easy may not apply to you

I barely pass, so to me it applies

    oh

I totally agree with Another85. I think people spend way too much time worrying over this, but nobody really knows what's an easy/medium/hard question. Hard questions do not have to be long and wordy. I find that when I work on questions released in prior years, I generally do better on the “hard” testlet than on the “medium” one.

Look at it this way. For the same identical test, some people will pass with flying colors (they found the questions “easy”), but others will fail and say their test was very hard (think of the tests you took in college).

Like many other things, this is a very subjective topic, and nobody can give you a straight answer. Relaxation is a much better medicine than keep torturing yourself over something that cannot be changed 🙂

AUD, BEC, and REG – my questions definitely were harder in the second 2 testlets. FAR – I didn't feel like they got harder at all. Yet my worst test (which I thought would be my best grade) was 2 points below my best test (and I was SURE I failed FAR). Don't stress over how you think you did. 🙂

I did, and I didn't do that great on the SIMS. Granted my score kinda sucks, but who cares.
