Can somebody explain this to me?

I don’t understand what this explanation is saying…

“Prior to the report release date, a complete and final set of audit documentation should be assembled not more than 45 days after the report release date. This question is asking for additions not deletions and there is no set days standard.”

To me that’s like saying “Prior to going to work, I need to wake up not more than an hour after arriving at work”… do you see my thinking? Obviously my thinking is wrong but you get the idea of where my heads at.

You just issued an audit report. Are you done? NO!
You now have 45 days to assemble the Audit Documentation/working papers file.
You must keep this file for 5 years.
*PCAOB is 60 days, 7 years*

    Does that help?

    Ah perfect, thanks again FAR_WARS!
Great explanation. In hindsight the question seems pretty dumb, given the simple explanation. I just wasn't familiar with the reporting timeline process.
