I remember a few discussion on this topic but don’t recall the exact answer. My formal two bosses are inactive cpas. Can they still sign off for my accounting experience?

I think in most states the answer is no but nothing about licensing is uniform across all states, so your best bet is to call your board.

Thanks Mia. Confirmed with Ca and the signature has to be from someone that is active. Most CPAs in nonpublic are inactive

Depends on the state. In TN, which is relatively lax on the rules requires an active CPA. So I'd say that'd be the case for most states.
