My parents received a phone call on my home telephone from someone claiming to be from the CPA Board wanting to ask me about a question I answered. They gave her my cell phone number but I never received a phone call. I took BEC on the 2nd. Has anyone else had any type of experience like this?

Lol. So much for addressing the actual question…. I think the CPA Board would have no reason to call if you haven't applied for the license yet so I'm guessing it was AICPA but who knows. Keep us updated! 🙂

I would say it is likely not legit BUT a few months back someone here posted that they got a call that they didn't actually fail an exam that they were told they failed (it was a glitch in the scoring if I recall). Everyone called BS on the person, but turns out it happened to several people.

Then I looked and saw you failed a section.

Do you have caller id and do you know the # it came from? Maybe put the area code in the search box up top and see if it is the same thing?
