Does anyone have any experience with this? For a new CPA, would this be a good way to start off? I am in my mid-30s so I am not sure I want to start off at the bottom of a mega corporation again–I have about had my fill of that! I figure if liberty tax can sell franchises to people with no experience, a licensed CPA would be able to have a decent shot if you can find a good mentor that is looking to transition into retirement soon.
Also, does anyone have any experience as an RIA? I have a bit of experience in this area from my current life and I can’t believe more CPAs aren’t moving in on these sleazy investment salespeople’s territory. I think starting a tax business where you can profile the client by doing their taxes and getting them into a wrap fee program that includes tax preparation would be a great way to get year round income.
