This whole salary thing isn’t too great, feel like I rather be working on a business & actually building an asset rather than having basically a cap on my pay. Anyone feel the same way? They should prorate our pay during busy season at least

We get paid hourly, but anything over 80 hours in a pay period goes to a leisure bank. So we work a lot in the busy season and only get paid for 80, but get to take time off in the down season. At the end of the year, they pay out whatever is left over in the leisure bank.

The firm I worked for paid time and a half for 12 hours per week (52 hours total) every paycheck, and anything over 52 hours was either paid out or given as PTO (at 1.5 rate) at the end of tax season.

My first job at a CPA firm, we were on salary, but the office was closed every Friday in June, July and August.

We are salary during the year, and switch to hourly from February to April 15th.

I'm also salary, but during tax season, I get overtime paid or comp time at 1.5, my choice.
