Has anyone used bna as a tax research platform as opposed to ria or cch? Any thoughts?

They may have changed but here's what I do:

    * Simple checks – CCH (now Intelliconnect?)
    * More advanced research – RIA
    * Articles – BNA and LexisNexis

I prefer CCH 90% of the time and will only go to RIA when I need more. If I recall correctly, RIA is annotated forward and backward, meaning it has references to a given article as well as references to articles that mention that document. Don't quote me on that but that was one of the benefits of one of the systems.

I used BNA portfolio for the general review of the topics. I have used federal income tax and partnership so far. They are well-written. CCH and RIA are more research tools as M123 points out. I prefer RIA since it has a good web interface and research function.
