Anyone else religiously watch Bloomberg television IF they have any spare time? I watch Bloomberg Daybreak-America, Options Action, and Real Yield. There is a lot of economic and finance information covered in these shows. The material compliments some of the subjects in the CPA Exam. For example, I definitely have a better understanding of derivatives and hedging instruments by using options and futures.

Just curious if anyone else watches these shows IF YOU HAVE TIME!

Its so bias, not worth watching it, i just catch up on important daily events from an independent neutral source.

How is Bloomberg biased? Is it politically biased or are they attempting to solicit certain stocks?

I believe the network is very relevant. Bloomberg covers a lot of the basics for some of the material we study. It's kind of like a refresher and keep me up to date with the stock market and how companies are doing.

What do you watch instead and how is your network unbiased? Thanks.

OMG I watch it! I watch Daybreak Asia in the evening since I usually get home from work when the Asian markets are opening. I had a vague idea about how the markets work but studying BEC has given me a much better understanding of economics in general. I think Bloomberg has great programming, I love how they cover worldwide markets.

That's awesome you watch Daybreak-Asia! I occasionally watch the Asia epsisode as well. And, I do believe watching my shows helped me out on the BEC exam with some of the Econ and Finance questions – at least with the basics. My shows were like Reinforcers when I would take a study break to catch up with the Market.
