BEC Simulation Structure and Difficulty

Hello all, I have a few questions about BEC sims.

How important is it to have a well-designed structure in written responses as compared to the actual content itself? Some have told me that having a flowing prototype business memo is nearly as good as including a great deal of substantial content from the study materials.

Also, for those that used Becker to prepare for BEC, did you think that the sims provided in the material were of a similar level difficulty and complexity as those on the real exam?

I’m just slightly nervous because when practicing with these prompts, I rarely have enough points off the top of my head to fill up the 4-6 paragraphs that I see in the answer keys.

    Thanks

    REG - 83
    AUD - 87
    BEC - 83

Just my opinion, but Jeff's simulation answers are much shorter and to the point. They also have a multiple choice portion attached to each sim that tests you on the key points of the answer. I believe he has 25 simulations in total.

I'm a horrible writer under pressure too so I've been practicing them to get my rhythm down.

Maybe you can contact Jeff and see if he can give you a sample 🙂

According to Gleim, a structure is even more important than the content.

Have an introduction paragraph with a theme/thesis, 2-3 supporting points/paragraphs, and a conclusion.

You should practice this format several times, so when under time pressure on the test you can write it from habit.
