    I cant be the only person who feels this way. At least FAR is about one topic overall…BEC is like a box of chocolates. The material (using becker) does not flow or build upon itself its just random topic after random topic. I really do believe that AICPA or NASBA or whatever they just wanted a fourth test for more revenue.

    Sorry I just needed to rant.

    Jeff should create forum space for just rants.

    I haven't taken BEC yet, but my friends tell me it is much easier than FAR. I earned around a 3.9+ GPA for all the courses listed in BEC (Econ, Finance, Mangaememt, Cost, Operations, etc). I only found Cost to be Difficult out of those classes. Now, for FAR, OMG all the Intermediates and Advanced courses I found much harder than anything in BEC. Just my 2 cents, but everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. Just grind through the material and study your butt off!

    I would rather take BEC twice than learn REG rn.

    BEC 80 (10/23/15)

    REG 52 (4/28/15)
    AUD (9/9/16)

    I know people are different but I definitely did think BEC was harder than FAR. Yeah FAR has so much material to cover but it all flows together so I always thought it made more sense (except for governmental). So obviously FAR is time consuming while BEC does not cover as much material but BEC was just so confusing. I never really felt like I actually completely understood the material regardless of how much I studied. I was so glad a couple of weeks ago when I got a 78 on my 2nd attempt at BEC.

    Hasy: Is reg really that hard? I always figured I would leave it for last because I always thought it would be just a bit easier than the other ones because I work mostly in tax. Do you work in tax?

    I liked REG– by far my favorite one to study for… BEC however I honestly thought would be the death of me–

    and they ask me why I drink...

    FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
    REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

    Disclaimer: I did ONE tax season and it was more than 2 years ago. All that 1040 and 1120/s knowledge is lost.

    @GSD512

    BEC was my first exam but I found it a LOT easier to study for than REG. Lord, this is genuinely NOT a lie, but studying for REG is SO much harder compared to the other 3. I actually worked in audit, so yes, studying for AUD was a little easier.

    @mckan514w

    What are your secrets for that perfect score? I would KILL for a 75 rn. But I'm 23 days away and I'm like, I hate individual tax, property tax, and business law. >.<“

    100% agree BEC is harder than FAR. My scores also speak to this!

    AUD - 72, 81
    FAR - 71, 78
    REG - 60, 78
    BEC - 60, 71, 71

    IF I FALL, I WILL GET BACK UP. IF I AM BEATEN, I WILL RETURN.

    BEC made me physically ill @Dzagt- at one point I even told my husband that if I died from a brain aneurism to put on my headstone “Killed by BEC”- he thought I was kidding, I wasn't..

    ha @hasy- I wish I knew.. just hoping for the same with my FAR retake

    I had the hardest time studying for BEC too. But then, BEC was my very first exam to take. I wasn't used to studying hours at a time, I was still figuring out the best way to study, and I only used Wiley test books to study for BEC whereas I had Roger CRAM and NINJA Audio for the others.

    BEC 7/12 - PASS
    REG 8/17
    AUD 9/8
    FAR 10/15

    I agree with Waffle House, the voluminous nature of FAR is ridiculous! How long it takes just to get through all the material is crazy; not to mention the review part. 1000 pages vs whatever BEC was.
    I'd take BEC any day over FAR, which is literally making me blind, fat and poor.
