I didn't pass far either, failed miserably, I've decided and I won't be denied. It's on!!!

You promised me a long time ago you will never quit as long as i didn't, i kept up my part of the bargain now you keep up yours

I am back home today after my visit in Chicago with my father. It is almost certain that I will not see him again. Other than the failing score, it was a wonderful and fun weekend and memories were made that will last a lifetime. Last night we were in the hotel bar at a table with my sisters, step monster and a few close family friends…we each had a glass of wine. I was trying to be a trooper and stay upbeat and not let the fail get me down and ruin the fun for everyone else. He leaned over the table and placed his hand over mine, looked me straight in the eye, raised his glass and said, “HERE is to one more try!” The tears just started flowing and I couldn't help myself. After he left this morning, I found an envelope in my purse with $500. He had written a note that it is for my exam fees. Yeah…more tears. I may not be able to finish before he passes away, but I know that he believes in me and I will soldier on.

So, I dried the tears and paid my application fee for a FAR re-test next window, I will pay the exam fees and have an NTS by the end of the week. I lose AUD on Oct 18th (my birthday) and have my surgery on Oct 16th. I have a window of Oct 1 – Oct 15th to finish FAR. I've cleaned the study cave and set up my desk with the study materials. Tomorrow we start again…
