If you are an auditor, when you travel do you share a hotel room with a coworker or are you given your own hotel room?

I work in a US corporation in internal audit but many colleagues are from public and we have always had our own rooms. On the other hand, my friend from China says that people usually have to share rooms there. It's hard enough being in the same conference room all day; can't imagine having to share a hotel room as well!

I always had my own room. I am not sure i would have be comfortable sharing a room with someone else.

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

Thanks for the input. I start my first internship in public accounting next month and was told I will be traveling a bit. I worked for a university before and helped schedule travel for others and they were required to share a room with someone else who was going. I'm glad to see that it seems in public accounting it is probably not that way .. I look forward to getting to know my coworkers but don't really feel comfortable sharing a hotel room with someone I barely know ha.

Only travel I've done in public was for training. As an intern, I always roomed with someone. But as full time employee, I had my own room.

I always felt bad for my roommate because I can snore pretty loudly sometimes… :/

I'm in public and below manager level you always share rooms for national trainings. However I believe (I don't travel for work often so I'm not 100% sure), that everyone gets their own room when they travel for client responsibilities.
