    Hi All,

I’ll be taking audit for a third time in a few weeks. I’m going to supplement the ninja mcq with Becker, but would anyone have some insight as to what worked best for you? Also, what would be the best way to prepare for the SIMs? I feel as though the practice ones are not comparable to the exam. I know all about the research function, but there are cases where that doesn’t prove all too helpful. Any tips/recommendations are much appreciated. Thanks!

I was in the same situation as you Dam8, I had to take AUD 3 times as well. I found that the most important thing was switching up the MCQ Bank. Since you've studied the material 2 times already, you should have a decent understanding of the material. I would recommend rereading each chapter once. Don't waste your time on lectures. After you read everything over, do as many questions as possible. You should see a trend of where you are scoring poorly. Once you see these weak areas, review the notes of those sections and continue to answer the MCQ. If you have to, I would recommend answering the questions with your notes out. This way you are reviewing and answering the questions at the same time. I would only do this for a few days then get rid of the notes when you work the questions. Keep making notes of 10 words or less on the questions you're getting wrong and continuously review those fact nuggets. You'll get it, keep at it. 3rd time is the charm!

    AUD: (65)(66) 77
REG: (66) (48) destroyed me mentally.....
    FAR: (68) (66)(69)(71)
    BEC: (63) 75

Dam8 – I am in the same boat as you. I felt like I was getting murdered by the Sims on my 2 takes at Audit, so I decided to increase my understanding of the concepts that the Sims test you on by taking FAR. I will be giving myself a month after taking FAR to study for my 3rd Audit try and hopefully the pieces will all make sense during this time.

I would split my review time into 2 sections and do not over do MCQs: 1) MCQ 2) rewriting accountant letters based on services provided. Once you're comfortable with differences between the letters, you should be good to go.
